The purpose of the Tree of Life project is to be a tangible and holistic act of Christ-like love to the unreached peoples of Sierra Leone through offering Community Health Education and by offering an indigenous, natural solution for the rampant malnutrition of children and nursing mothers represented in Sierra Leone through the use of the Moringa Tree (Moringa oleifera).

This multipurpose tree can also be used for various other purposes, such as: animal fodder, green fertilizer, biogas, medicines, water purification, cooking oil, just to name a few. Not only will Tree of Life educate people about this God-given resource, the Moringa Tree, it will show them how to grow it, incorporate it into daily lives (i.e. cooking, farming, medicine, etc.) and how to make it marketable to their own communities to assist in sustaining their livelihoods.

All teaching and educational aims will be in the context of the Gospel and possess the chief goal of sharing the hope and glory of Christ to impoverished, unreached peoples of Sierra Leone.

The Goals of the Tree of Life Project are:

  • To intentionally and actively educate target communities (Children 6 months to 5 years & Nursing Mothers) plagued with malnutrition and disease in the areas of disease prevention and nutrition.
  • To educate communities on how to grow, harvest and incorporate the Moringa Tree in their daily lives leading to improved health and wellness.
  • To teach and guide people in how to produce and market Moringa in hopes of establishing a sustainable and profitable income.
  • To intentionally proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ through practical teaching and within natural relationships.
